The Metropolitan Council has identified the City of Mounds <br /> View as a qualifying municipality for a $40,000 grant providing financial assistance for the <br /> update. The grant application process is extensive and requires several documents and <br /> steps as well as follow-up meetings and reporting. <br /> The first step is for the City Council to pass a resolution identifying the need for funding <br /> to complete the 2050 Comprehensive Land Use Plan and authorizing staff to apply for <br /> the Planning Assistance Grant. That resolution is attached. <br /> Discussion: <br /> Approving Resolution No. 10255 allows the City to apply to the Metropolitan Council <br /> grant. Not approving Resolution No. 10255 effectively excludes the City of Mounds View <br /> from the grant monies.
