To assist with the Educational Campaign an Architectural firm is needed to provide renderings <br /> of the proposed Community Center expansion/remodel and a new Park Shelter Building at <br /> Silver View Park. <br /> Staff received cost proposals from two Architectural firms familiar with these type of projects. <br /> Kodet and Wold Architects and Engineers, cost break down includes the following; <br /> Kodet: <br /> • Develop a concept plan drawing showing all changes at a cost of$17,500.00 <br /> • Develop a phasing drawing to implement plans <br /> • Concept plan strategies to meet flexible future needs <br /> • Concept plan drawing, site plan drawing, elevations, and perspective renderings (2 <br /> interior, 2 exterior) as mutually determined <br /> • Concept plan Document <br /> • Stakeholder meetings, generally two to four groups, as mutually determined <br /> • Two (2) City Council process meetings in addition to the stakeholder meetings as <br /> mutually determined <br /> • Cost Estimation Services for pre-construction estimate by Kraus-Anderson at a cost of <br /> $7,000.00 <br /> Total Fee $24,500.00 <br /> Wold Architects and Engineers: <br /> Step 1: Facility Condition Assessment and Data Collection <br /> Step 2: Programming and Conceptual Design <br /> Step 3: Feasibility Analysis and Master Planning <br /> Proposed Professional Services $13,000.00 <br /> Mileage and Travel $ 1,000.00 <br /> Printing and miscellaneous cost $ 500.00 <br /> Total Fee $15,000.00 <br /> Staff met with both firms to review the proposals and their approach to this project. While both <br /> firms would bring their own strength and expertise to this project, Staff believes that Wold <br /> Architects and Engineers are a better fit. <br /> Strategic Plan Strategy/Goal: Maintain and Plan for Infrastructure Improvements. <br /> Financial Impact: This is not budgeted in the 2026 Budget and would require Council approval <br /> for$38,588.00, from the Special Project Fund, account 480-4360-3030. <br /> Recommendation: Staff recommends the City Council adopt the attached Resolution approving <br /> a Professional Service Agreement with Wold Architects and Engineers to assist with the Park <br /> System Master Plan educational campaign at a cost of$15,000.00, to be funded from the Special <br /> Project 480-4360-3030. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Don Peterson, Director of Public Works/Parks and Recreation <br /> The Mounds View Vision <br /> A Thriving Desirable Community <br />
