To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10254, 3 <br />Approving a Honeybee-Keeping License for Gregory Evenson, 2309 Oakwood Drive. 4 <br /> 5 <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported this was the City’s 13th beekeeping license and noted the 6 <br />City has had no concerns with the hives in the community to date. 7 <br /> 8 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 9 <br /> 10 <br />C. Second Reading and Approval of Ordinance 1064, Amending the Zoning 11 <br />Ordinance Regarding Height of Attached Accessory Structures ROLL CALL 12 <br />VOTE. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Beth Elliott, Stantec, requested the Council consider an Ordinance that would amend the zoning 15 <br />ordinance regarding height of attached accessory structures. She reported the first reading of this 16 <br />ordinance was held on Monday, May 11. She commented further on the proposed changes to the 17 <br />ordinance and reported the Planning Commission recommended approval. 18 <br /> 19 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn. To Waive the Second Reading and Adopt Ordinance 20 <br />1064, Amending the Zoning Ordinance Regarding Height of Attached Accessory Structures per 21 <br />Option 2 and approval of the summary publication for this Ordinance. 22 <br /> 23 <br />ROLL CALL: Clark/Gunn/Meehlhause/Smith/Lindstrom. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Council Member Meehlhause explained he supported this change because he supported residents 26 <br />being able to make investments in their property. 27 <br /> 28 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 29 <br /> 30 <br />D. Resolution 10255, Identifying the Need for Funding to Complete its 2050 31 <br />Comprehensive Plan Update and Planning Assistance Grant Funds. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested the Council identify the need for funding to 34 <br />complete the 2050 Comprehensive Plan update and planning assistance grant funds. He reported 35 <br />the Met Council was offering grants to help cities with completing comp plan updates. He 36 <br />discussed the process that would have to be followed to apply for the grant funding. Staff estimated 37 <br />the City spent $70,000 on consultants to assist with the last comp plan update. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Mayor Lindstrom asked if the corridor grant was through the Met Council. Assistant City 40 <br />Administrator Beeman reported the corridor grant was through Ramsey County. 41 <br /> 42 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Clark/Smith.
