The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br /> <br />Item No: 01 <br />Meeting Date: June 1, 2026 <br />Type of Business: Workshop <br />City Administrator Review: _____ <br /> <br /> <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Brian Beeman, Assistant City Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: Biannual Strategic Plan Report <br /> <br />Introduction: <br />The City Council approved the 2026-2028 City of Mounds View Strategic Plan June 23, 2025 via <br />Resolution NO. 10116. Department Heads have submitted their completed action steps/tasks to <br />date. Another report will be given in approximately 6 months. The next full three-year Strategic <br />Plan will begin January-February 2028. <br /> <br />The City’s Strategic Plan is used as a guide to develop the annual budgets and a five-year Capital <br />Improvement Plan (CIP). Strategic planning helps define, prioritize, budget for, and achieve <br />community improvement goals. <br /> <br />Essentially, Strategic Planning addresses who we are, where we are going, and how we get there. <br />A biannual report helps gauge progress on projects and department level tasks.
