COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />PROCLAMATION <br />HONORING HUMAN RIGHTS AND HUMAN DIGNITY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View affirms that every person possesses inherent worth <br />and dignity, and that these fundamental principles form the foundation of a just, inclusive, and <br />thriving community; and <br />WHEREAS, human rights are universal and indivisible, belonging to all people regardless <br />of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, age, ability, religion, sexual orientation, or <br />socioeconomic status; and <br />WHEREAS, the protection and advancement of human rights strengthen the social, <br />cultural, and economic vitality of our City, ensuring that all residents have equitable access to <br />opportunity, safety, and belonging; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View recognizes that upholding human dignity requires <br />ongoing commitment, active engagement, and the courage to confront discrimination, inequity, <br />and injustice wherever they arise; and <br />WHEREAS, fostering a community grounded in respect, compassion, and shared <br />responsibility enhances the well-being of all who live, work, and gather in Mounds View; and <br />WHEREAS, the City values the contributions of individuals and organizations who work <br />to advance human rights, promote understanding, and strengthen the bonds that unite our diverse <br />community; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, Zach Lindstrom, Mayor of the City of Mounds View, encourage <br />all residents to join in affirming the principles of human rights and human dignity, to treat one <br />another with respect and empathy, and to contribute to a community where every person feels <br />valued, supported, and free to thrive. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of <br />Mounds View, Minnesota to be affixed on this 8`" day of June, 2026. <br />(SEAL) <br />`rile Moutids Vieir Vision <br />l ibrivi n!"
