SPECIAL BUSINESS <br />A. Oath of Office for Re -Appointed Commissioner Lundberg - by Don Peterson <br />B. Vote on Commission Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary <br />Motion to nominate Gerald Arel for chair by Lundberg, second by Bosneag II: motion <br />passes 5-0 <br />*Wake Wiesner arrived at 6:33 PM <br />Motion to appoint Laura Wake Wiesner as vice chair and Karen Mills as secretary made by <br />- Lundberg, second by Bosneag II- Motion passes 6-0 <br />3. ROLL CALL: Commissioners: Arel, Bankston, Bosneag II, Lundberg, Mills, Wake Wiesner <br />Staff: Peterson I Szurek I Thomas <br />*To be absent <br />4. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: motion to approve agenda brought by Lundberg, second by <br />Bankston, motion passes 6-0. <br />5. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM <br />November 20th, 2025, meeting Motion to approve by Wake Wiesner, second by Bosneag II, <br />motion passes 6-0 <br />6. PUBLIC INPUT <br />Citizens may speak about issues not on tonight's agenda. Before speaking, please give your <br />full name and address. Please limit your comments to three minutes. <br />7. STAFF REPORTS <br />A. Parks and Recreation — Thomas: See report in meeting packet. Year in review. Over 4500 <br />people attended community events in 2025! <br />B. Public Works — Szurek: See report in meeting packet. Ice rink maintenance and flooding is <br />happening as weather permits/demands. Buckthorn and dead fall removal are still <br />happening. Tree sale: trees are able to be ordered starting February 1st. The website will <br />provide information like maintenance and maximum growth about all the trees available. <br />The community center will also be able to take orders in person. <br />City hall park: there has been resident calls asking about the heat tape for the splash pad - <br />concerned that there is a wasting of resources. The heat tape is to make sure the splash <br />pad pipes do not freeze. <br />Ice rink: evening hours 4-8, Saturdays, Sundays and school release are 12-8. Policy: below <br />0 degrees or -10 degrees windchill the warming house will be closed. <br />8. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />
