PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom encouraged the public to speak with kindness and respect when addressing the <br />City Council during Public Comment. There were no comments from the public. <br /> <br />8. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />A. PUBLIC HEARING – Resolution 10253, Approving a Honeybee-Keeping <br />License for Rebecca Parzyck, 2233 Knoll Drive. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve a honeybee-keeping license for <br />Rebecca Parzyck at 2233 Knoll Drive. He reported the applicant has all the necessary paperwork <br />submitted to the City. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom opened the public hearing at 6:03 p.m. <br /> <br />Rebecca Parzyck, 2233 Knoll Drive, thanked the Council for considering her request. She noted <br />she was a three-year beekeeper with one hive. <br /> <br />Hearing no further public input, Mayor Lindstrom closed the public hearing at 6:05 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10253, <br />Approving a Honeybee-Keeping License for Rebecca Parzyck, 2233 Knoll Drive. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />B. PUBLIC HEARING – Resolution 10254, Approving a Honeybee-Keeping <br />License for Gregory Evenson, 2309 Oakwood Drive. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve a honeybee-keeping license for <br />Gregory Evenson at 2309 Oakwood Drive. He reported the applicant has all the necessary <br />paperwork submitted to the City. He provided comment on the one concern the City received from <br />the public. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom opened the public hearing at 6:06 p.m. <br /> <br />Gregory Evenson, 2309 Oakwood Drive, reported he has been talking about getting hives for the <br />past 10 years and he was now taking action. He explained the bees he would be procuring were <br />docile bees for one hive. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom asked if there was anything to worry about the proposed beehive and its <br />proximity to a pool. Assistant City Administrator Beeman reported honeybees were docile unless <br />provoked. He noted bees typically go to their own water source and do not typically drink from <br />pools. <br />
