RESOLUTION NO. 10282 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE PROMOTION OF MOLLY OLSON <br />TO THE POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has approved recruitment for the position of Police Officer in <br />the Police Department; and, <br />WHEREAS, the approved hiring procedures consist of training and experience scoring, <br />oral interviews, physical agility testing, thorough background investigation, physical examination, <br />and psychological examination; and, <br />WHEREAS, a top candidate in the interview process was Community Service Officer Molly <br />Olson; and, <br />WHEREAS, staff of the Police Department have met with CSO Olson, and the Chief of <br />Police recommends that CSO Olson be promoted to the position of Police Officer; and, <br />WHEREAS, staff requests to promote CSO Olson to Police Officer at a starting wage of <br />75% top patrol rate. <br />2026 <br />Starting Wage <br />75% Top Patrol Rate <br />After 12 Months <br />80% Top Patrol Rate <br />After 24 Months <br />90% Top Patrol Rate <br />After 36 Months <br />100% Top Patrol Rate <br />$38.24 <br />$40.79 <br />$45.89 <br />$50.99 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota does hereby: <br />• Promote Community Service Officer Molly Olson to the position of Police. <br />• Anticipated promotional date August 17, 2026. <br />• Wage at the 75% top patrol rate of pay ($38.24/hour) as indicated in the Law <br />Enforcement Labor Services contract/ <br />• Pay a one-time hiring bonus of $3,000 (half after FTO and half on one-year Police <br />Officer anniversary) A <br />Adopted this 10th day of Augu <br />ATTEST: <br />(seal) <br />
