RESOLUTION 10285 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />ACCEPTING RFPS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT TO LANDBRIDGE ECOLOGICAL FOR <br />ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION MAINTENANCE SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, the City received funding through the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil <br />Resources (BWSR) Habitat Enhancement and Landscape Program (HELP) to restore approximately <br />15.9 acres of pollinator habitat at Silver View and Ardan Parks; and <br />WHEREAS, the habitat restoration work was completed in combination with the City's <br />stormwater improvement projects at Silver View and Ardan Parks to improve water quality, restore <br />native plant communities, and enhance wildlife habitat; and <br />WHEREAS, post -installation site assessments identified the need for continued ecological <br />restoration maintenance to support native vegetation establishment, control invasive species, and <br />ensure the long-term success of the restoration projects; and <br />WHEREAS, the City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for ecological restoration <br />maintenance services, received proposals from qualified contractors, and evaluated the proposals <br />based on the <br />criteria <br />Company <br />Total Base Bid <br />Landbridge Ecological <br />$12,095.00 <br />Minnesota Native Landscapes <br />$33,680.00 <br />Native Resource Preservation <br />$59,091.53 <br />established in the RFP; and <br />WHEREAS, City Staff has determined that the proposal submitted by Landbridge <br />Ecological provides the best overall value to the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The proposal submitted by Landbridge Ecological for ecological restoration maintenance <br />at Silver View Park and Ardan Park is approved. <br />2. The contract is awarded to Landbridge Ecological in the amount of $12,095.00 <br />Funding for this contract shall be provided through the remaining BWSR HELP grant <br />funds designated for ongoing restoration maintenance. <br />The Mounds View Vision <br />a Thriving Desirable Cunvinmity <br />
