STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE VISION STATEMENT FOR HIGHWAY 10 CORRIDOR IN
MOUNDS VIEW
WHEREAS, Focus 2000 stressed the importance of improving the aesthetics and
accessibility of Highway 10; and
WHEREAS, the Highway 10 subcommittee, consisting of three EDC members, a
planning commission member and a parks and recreation commission member, developed a
vision statement for Highway 10 Corridor; and
WHEREAS, the Highway 10 Vision Statement reads as follows:
Highway 10 in Mounds View is a cohesive planned corridor that provides
convenient access for business opportunities and for goods, services
and hospitality amenities.
.
Highway 10 corridor incorporates a City Center that promotes essential
services for its residents and a hub for commuters.
Highway 10 is aesthetically pleasing with attractive landscaping, signage,
streetscapes and storefronts.
Highway 10 is the local and regional link to the greater Metro Area.
WHEREAS, this vision statement has been reviewed and approved by the
Economic Development Commission, who acts as an advisory commission to the Economic
Development Authority (EDA).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Economic Development Authority
of the City of Mounds View hereby approves the Vision Statement for Highway 10 Corridor in
Mounds View as presented.
