CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE PURSUIT OF A SMALL BUSINESS LOAN
PROGRAM FOR MOUNDS VIEW BUSINESSES
WHEREAS, an action step of the Focus 2000 Implementation Plan
recommends the development of incentive programs for business
development; and
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Commission has researched
current incentives available to local businesses through federal, state and
county programs and evaluated loan programs implemented by other similar
metro area cities; and
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Commission acts as an
.dViSOry commission to the Economic Development Authority (EDA) on
matters that relate to fostering a positive economic climate, encouraging
economic development, and enhancing the tax base of the City; and
WHEREAS, the proposed program would provide existing businesses
with low interest loans for interior and exterior improvements; and
WHEREAS, the proposed program would enhance the prosperity of
local businesses and the image of Mounds View.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Economic Development
Authority of the City of Mounds View hereby supports the pursuit of a small
business loan program as presented in the attached document.
