RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE PURSLTI OF A HOTEUCONFERE!l/CE
FACIUTY IN MOl~1)S VIEW
WHEREAS, economic development continues to be: th.: number one goal
for the City ofMoumL~ View in 1996; and
WHEREAS, Highway 10 redevelnpment is the number one action step
under thc economic de\'elopmem g01l1 for the City nf Mounds View in 1996: and
WHEREAS, the pllniuit of' a hotclicnnterence facility along Hihb"....lIy 10 in
M()und~ View would enhance the economic vitality of the community by adding jobs and
m..TellSing the ta.... base: and
WHEREAS, a horeVconterence'liu:ility would attract hoth national and
internatinnal visitors to Mounds View; and
WHEREAS, existing MouncUi View businesses on Highway ID"would
benefit lrom the incI'C'.ISed visitor population in :vJounds View generated by a hOlelJconlerencc
tilcility.
NOW. THEREfORE. DE IT RESOLVED Lhat the Economic
Dcvelopment Authority or the City of Mounds View hereby supports the pursuit of il
' hotcl/cnnfcrenec facility in Mounds View; and
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Economic
Dcvdopment Authority of the City or Mounds View hom:by directs the EDA Ex.:cutivc Director
tn actively pursue develoJX.'[" and investor inu.'T'est in a hotc\lconference center faCility in Mounds
View.
