RESOLUTION NO. 96-EDA52
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEMOLITION BID FOR THE REMOVAL OF HOUSE
LOCATED AT 8265 SPRING LAKE ROAD
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Authority (EDA) approved a Housing
Replacement Program per Resolution No. 96-EDA46 on May 13, 1996; and
WHEREAS, one of the objectives of the Housing Replacement Program is to replace
smaller, lower-valued housing with larger, new and higher-value housing designed for families: and
WHEREAS, the EDA approved the purchase of 8265 Spring Lake Road per Resolution
No. 96-EDA49 on June 24, 1996; and
WHEREAS, staff developed demolition specifications and solicited bids for the removal
of the home located at 8265 Spring Lake Road to allow for the developmellt of a larger, new and
. higher-valued home; and
WHEREAS, three bids were received by the deadline of September 5, 1996 to perform
the demolition as outlined in the specifications for demolition; and
WHEREAS, the lowest bid received was from Herbst & Sons in the amoullt of $6,300.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Economic Development
Authority hereby accepts the lowest bid for demolition of property located at 8265 Silver Lake Road
and awards the contract to Herbst & Sons in the amount of $6,300; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Economic Development Authority hereby
determines that the acceptance and award of the bid for demolition are in furtherance of the
Housing Replacement Program.
