CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPOINTING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MEMBER TO FILL
VACANCY
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Commission acts as an advisory
commission to the Economic Development Authority on matters that relate to fostering a positive
economic climate, encouraging economic development, and enhancing the tax base of the City; and
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Commission is composed of three business
representatives and four residents, and
WHEREAS, per Chapter 408.06, subdivision 1 of the Mounds View Municipal Code
entitled Economic Development Commission, Termination of Appointment, requires the "Authority
President, with approval of a majority of the Authority Board of Commissioners, shall appoint a new
member from applications received for the unfulfilled portion of a term that has been terminated", and
WHEREAS, resident Delane Welsch has resigned prior to tlle expiration of his term
dated December 31, 1997, and

WHEREAS, resident Steven Larson completed an application to fill the vacancy for
a resident representative on the Economic Development Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Economic Development
Authority of the City of Mounds View hereby appoints Steven Larson to the Economic Development
Commission with term expiring December 31, 1997.
