RESOLUTION NO. OO-EDA-121
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPOINTING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY VICE
PRESIDENT AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION L1ASION
WHEREAS, members of the Economic Development Authority act as representatives to
City Commissions and other organizations; and
WHEREAS, the following representatives of the Economic Development Authority have
been named to act in the following capacity for the year 2000:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Economic Development Authority of the

Community Development Director Jopke stated Dr. Gregory Belting has indicated an interest in
serving on the Economic Development Commission, and the resolution before the Council would
appoint Dr Belting to a three-year term, expiring December 31,2002.
President Coughlin stated it gave him great pleasure to present Dr. Belting's name for
consideration for appointment to the Economic Development Commission. He extended his
appreciation to Mr. Khan for his very good work during the past year. He explained that Mr.
Khan's business, Action Press, has moved out of town, and into New Brighton, however, it is
still located in the area, therefore, those individuals with printing needs could still take their
business to Action Press, which is a wonderful company. He extended his heartfelt thanks to Mr.
Khan for coming in to serve on the Economic Development Commission at the end of a term that
was previously vacated. He reiterated that Mr. Khan had done a great job, adding that he would
also be sending him a letter in that regard.
MOTION/SECOND: ThomasonlStigney. To Approve Resolution No. 00-EDA-120, a
Resolution Appointing Dr. Gregory Belting to the Economic Development Commission for a
Three-year Tern1, Expiring December 31, 2002.

B. Consideration of Resolution No. 00-EDA-121, Appointing EDA Vice
President and EDC Liaison Appointments
President Coughlin stated this item appoints the Economic Development Authority Vice
President and the Economic Development Authority Liaison to the Economic Development
Commission, for the year 2000. He indicated he had previously requested he be appointed to the
position of Liaison to the Economic Development Commission, and would reiterate this request.
President Coughlin inquired if Vice President Stigney would be agreeable to continue as Vice
President of the Authority.
Vice President Stigney agreed.
MOTION/SECOND: Marty./Stigney. To Approve Resolution No. 00-EDA-121, a Resolution
Appointing Roger Stigney as Economic Development Authority Vice President and Dan
Coughlin as Economic Development Commission Liaison, for the Calendar Year 2000.
