CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION TO RAMSEY COUNTY FOR A COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT TO ASSIST IN FUNDING THE MANUFACTURED HOME PARK
REVITALIZATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Economic Development Authority (EDA) established the
Manufactured Home Park Revitalization Program to reduce the social costs of blight, improve the
quality of life in Mounds View manufactured home parks, and enhance housing opportunities
available within the City; and
WHEREAS, limited funds are available to fund the acquisition and rehabilitation components
of the program; and
WHEREAS, there exists a need in the City of Mounds View to provide a program in which
manufactured homes which have a blighting influence on the neighborhood and community may be
acquired or rehabilitated; and
WHEREAS, a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) would provide necessary
funding for acquisition and rehabilitation costs to fund the program; and
WHEREAS, projects in which CDBG funds are used would provide safe and quality housing
for low-moderate income families.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View Economic Development
Authority hereby recommends application to Ramsey County for a Community Development Block
Grant for $200,000 to assist in funding the Mounds View Manufactured Home Park Revitalization
Program.
Adopted this 12th day of February, 2001.
