MOUNDS VIEW ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONTRACT AWARD FOR UNDERTAKING
GEOTECHNICAL EXPLORATION FOR PROPOSED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT
ON LOTS 34 THROUGH 40 ON COUNTY ROAD H2 IN MOUNDS VIEW.
It is hereby resolved by the Board of Commissioners (the "Board") of the Mounds
View Economic Development Authority (the "Authority") as follows:
WHEREAS, the City currently owns or controls five lots covering approximately
6.5 acres in the block bounded by County Road H2, Knollwood Drive, Woodale Dr., and
Pleasant View Drive; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Fyksen, an adjacent landowner, with approximately 4.1 acres
in the same block, has expressed a willingness to coordinate development with the City
with the intent to sell his property for residential development; and,
WHEREAS, the Community Development Department sought proposals from
three soil testing companies; and
WHEREAS, by May 28, 2003 a total of three (3) proposals for geotechnical
exploration, including mobilization, tree clearing, drilling, laboratory testing, engineering
report presentation, have been received; and
WHEREAS, the low bidder was Stork Twin City Testing Corporation in the
estimated amount of $2,995.00; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View Economic
Development Authority does hereby approve a contract award with Stork Twin City
Testing Corporation in the estimated amount of $2,995.00 for the for the geotechnical
exploration for the proposed residential development on lots 34 through 40 on County
Road H2 in Mounds View.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the Mounds View Economic
Development Authority this 9th day of June 2003.
