AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF MOUNDS VIEW BY'
REVISING CHAP'l'ER 70.01, "MUNICIPAL WATER SYSTEM,.
APPLICATIONS, PERMITS AND FEESIt
The Council of the City of Mounds View docs herehy ordain:
SECTION I. Chapter 70,01 (2) shall be amended to read as foJ1ows:
."
(2) Before proceeding wlLh the constr~ction, enlargement,
'alteration, or r~pair of any water line connecting the municipal
water system to any house or building, the owner or his agent
shal1..iulfi11 the following requirements:
',(a) Obtain from the Municipality a water connection .. ....'
pe~~it, the fee for which shall be $10.00. The
plumbing inspector shall examine all applications for
water connections before construction. After the
construction, enlargement or alteration is complete,
the plumbing inspector shall be notified for the final
inspection. It shall be unl~wful to cover any connecting
line until an inspection has been made and such connection
and the work incident thereb.> hdS been approved by the
Municipality.

(b) Whenever a new water connection is constructed, the
owner shall pay to the Municipality a trunk, source and
storage contribution of $200.00 per residential unit
or ~n the case of other than Lt::::i,Lut::uLlcilly zOil€d property
$1,600.00 per ctcr~. Such contributions shall be reserved
solely for the purpose of funding construction, replacement,
modification or major mainten~nce of water trunk lines,
wells, towers or reservoirs and the debt service thereon
as specifically authorized by the City Council.
