25.01 DEFINITIONS.
The following words and terms wherever they occur in this
_Chapter shall be defined as follows:
(1)
Area. The total area of the subject parcel of land
measured in square feet and to the centerline of
any abutting public streets or !:'ig,lts-of-way.

under Chapter 59 of the MunicirJa1 Code I shall pay a Storrn
Water Management Charge in an amount, as determiried h~rein-
after, to the Fund.
25.0') COMPUTA'rION OF m::OL1J RED S\-Jl" CHl\RGE.
Subdivision 1. Base rate. The' 1978 base rate for
computation of the S\-JM Chillge-shdll be 15.3 cents per -
square foot. This rate shall be adjusted annually on
July 1st according to the change in the Engineering News
Record Construc~ion Cost Index fer the Minneapolis-st. Paul
area.

The total runoff equivalent shall be the SUT:l of the products
of t.he approptiate coefficients of runoff and the square
feet of area of each type of existing or proposed land u~e
on the parcel of land.
25.06 USE OF FUND.
Any S\\Tf'.1 Charge paymen ts deposi teCo in the Fund shall be used"
only for expenses incurred in the design, construction,
preser: va t i_on, or iT:lprovement of City storm water management
systems. Thcs~ ~x~en5cs ~h~ll in~lude. but shall not be
limited to, '~~quisition of land, wetlands, and easements,
construction of water quality control improvements, pre-
sorva Lion of ",;etlands, and debt retirement in connection
with' storm wate!:' management s}'stem improvements.
