EMERGENCY ORDINANCE #1
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
WH~REAS, a pipeline owned by Williams Pipeline
Company exploded within the City of Mounds View on or about
4:30 a.m. on July 8, 1986 causing serious bodily injuries
and extensive property damage to property owned by residents
in the City; and
WHEREAS, to protect the public health, safety, and
welfare of its residents, the Mounds View City Council in an
emergency session hereby ordains that the Civil Defense
Director, Police Chief and Fire Chief are given all
authorities necessary to deal with this disaster in an
orderly fashion.
Adopted by the Mounds View City Council this 8th
day of July, 1986.
