CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF MOUNDS VIEW
BY AMENDING CHAPTER 1006 ENTITLED, "BUILDING PERMITS AND FEES;
DEVELOPMENT CONTROLS"
The Council of the City of Mounds View does hereby ordain:
SECTION 1: Section 1006,04 of the Mounds View Building Code is hereby amended with
the proposed additions underlined and the deletions stricken as follows:
1006.04: CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY REQUIRED: OCCUPANCY OF BUILDING: The
exterior of ::my building shall be completod prior to occup3ncy of that building.
Subd 1. A certificate of occupancy shall be required whenever:

Any structure is erected or moved.
Any portion of any existinq industrial or commercial structure is structurally
altered or remodeled to the point a permit is required.
Any existinq industrial or commercial structure chanqes occupancy
classification or is occupied by a new tenant or owner.

Subd. 2. No structure or portion of a structure shall be occupied prior to obtaininq a
certificate of occupancy.
Subd. 3. All certificates of occupancy shall be applied for prior to occupyinq the
buildinq or structure. Said certificates shall be issued within 5 days after the
erection, movinq or alternation shall have been finally approved.
Subd. 4. The exterior of any buildinq shall be completed prior to occupancy of that
buildinq.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after the date of its publication.
First read by the City Council of the City of Mounds View this 8th day of April, 2002.

Gene Carr, being duly sworn on an oath states or affirms that he is the publisher
of the publisher of the newspaper known as Sun Focus, and has full knowledge
of the facts which are stated below.
(A) The newspaper has complied with all of the requirements constituting qualifi-
cation as a qualified newspaper, as provided by Minn. Stat. 9 331A.02, 9
331A.07, and other applicable laws, as amended.
(B) The printed public notice that is attached, was cut from the columns of said
newspaper, and was printed and published once each week, for 1 suc-
cessive weeks; it was first published on Thursday, the _g__ day of
