Section 2. Hhen first appointed, one commissioner shall be

shall keep a service register of all men in the service in these
classjfications, giving their names, age's, compensation, past
employment, duties and such other faers and data with reference to
each employee as the commission may deem llseful.

Section 7, When the commissior: has established a list of

Section 8. No officer or employee after six months' continuous
emp10ymcnl shdll be removed or discharged except for c~use, upon
WJd tt2D charges and after an opportunity to be heard in his own
defense as in this ordinance hereinafter provided, Such charges
shalt be investigated by or before such civil service commission.
The findings and dl2cision of .such comil1ission shall be forthwith to

officer to suspend a subordinate for a reasonable period, not

Section 9. The commission, in classifying positions under
