COUNTY OF RMISEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF MOUNDS VIEW BY AMENDING
CHAPTER 40 ENTITLED, "ZONING"
The Council of the City of Mounds View does hereby
ordain:
SECTION I. 40.02, Subdivision B, shall be amended by
adding the following:
110.0, Veterinary or Animal Clinic. A structure
intended for providing medical examinations and treatment to
animals. Services would be limited to small animals and
would not include boarding of animals.
SECTION II. 40.17, Subdivision D, shall be amended by
adding the following:
(4) Veterinary and Animal Clinics provided that:
. a. Noise and odor are effectively confined to
the premises in accordance with Ordinance No.
90, Public Nuisance.
b. The boarding of animals is not provided for
beyond hospitalization for surgery, illness,
or injury.
c. A mechanical ventilation or exhaust system
shall be installed to control, capture and
remove emissions or odors generated by such
use. Such systems shall be separate from the
other ventilation systems in the building.
Such system shall be designed to prevent the
migration of emissions or odors to other parts
of the building. Installation must comply
with the Minnesota State Building Code
Mechanical Systems, Chapter 1345.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall take effect thirty
(30) days after the date of its publication.
Read by the Council of the City of Mounds View on this
9 day of May , 1988.
