AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 603 OF THE MOUNDS VIEW CITY
CODE, GARBAGE AND RUBBISH, SECTION 603.06, SUB 2,
REQUIREMENTS AND RESTRICTIONS
THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 603, Garbage and Rubbish, Section 603.06,
Scavengers, Subdivision 2b, Paragraphs (1) and (2) of the City of Mounds View
Municipal Code is hereby amended to allow recyclable materials to be collected
on a minimum of a bi-weekly basis, with the proposed additions underlined and
the proposed deletions sa, to read as follows:
Section 603.06, Subd. 2
b. Additional Restrictions for Residential Haulers: In addition to the
• other requirements of this Chapter, haulers servicing residences,.
mobile home parks and multiple dwellings shall comply with the
following:
(1) Curbside recycling collection will be made available to all
residential and multiple dwelling customers no later than July 1,
1990. Such service shall include weekly collection of all
recyclable materials on the same day as garbage and rubbish
collection for residences. A bi-weekly collection period for
recvclable material is permissible, provided the hauler
provides single-sort service and a collection container equal
to or larger than the provided garbaqe container.
(2) Collection of garbage and rubbish materials and recyclable
materials will be provided on a weekly basis, but not necessarily
on the same day, for multiple dwellings and mobile home parks. A

and a collection container equal.. to or larger than the

SECTION 2. This ordinance becomes effective thirty (30) days after its
publication in the official City newspaper.
First read by the City Council of the City of Mounds View this 28th day of
April, 2003.
Read and passed by the City Council of the City of Mounds View this 19th
day of May, 2003.
