Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance 759ORDINANCE NO. 759 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW • COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MOUNDS VIEW CITY CHARTER BY AMENDING SECTION 4.02 OF THE CHARTER RELATING TO "FILING FOR OFFICE" THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW DOES HEREBY ORDAIN: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Mounds View, pursuant to the recommendation of the City of Mounds View City Charter Commission, has hereby determined that Section 4.02, Subdivision 1 of the Charter of the City of Mounds View relating to "Filing for Office" be amended by the addition of the bold and double- underlined language and by the deletion of the as follows: Section 4.02. Filing for Office Subdivision 1. Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 205.13, as amended, no earlier than seventy days nor later than fifty-six days before any municipal election, any resident of the City qualified under state law for elective office may, by filing an affidavit and by paying a filing fee 20 or by filing a petition in complianc with MN Statute 205.13, Subd. 4, as amended. to the Clerk-Administrator+r~ have their name placed on the municipal election ballot.
