Authorizing the Purchase of New Chemical Feed Rate Equipment
for Treatment Plant 1
WHEREAS, Water Treatment Plant Number One was completed in 1992, and;
WHEREAS, The Chemical Feed Rate Equipment is original, and;
WHEREAS, the isolation valves no longer work, and;
WHEREAS, the feed rate meters are starting to fail and cannot be adjusted, and;
WHEREAS, the adopted 2009 Budget has $25,000.00 allotted in the enterprise
Fund, under the water infrastructure and equipment department, capitol equipment (700-
4825-3030); and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. That the proposal for the purchase of new chemical feed rate
equipment and needed valves from Larsco Inc for a price of
$11,250.00 plus tax is here by approved.
2. That the funds to finance this Purchase will be derived from the
Enterprise Fund, under the water infrastructure and equipment
department, capitol equipment account (account 700-4825-3030),
and that any additional funds that may be required are to be
derived from the Enterprise Fund, water infrastructure and
equipment department contingency account.
