STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE FOR
POLICE OFFICER TERRY BROOS
WHEREAS, Officer Terry Broos has retired from the Mounds View Police Department
effective April 23, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused sick leave time is 729.87 hours as of
April 23, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Officer Broos' current rate of pay of $34.71 per hour; and
WHEREAS, the maximum potential payout of sick time will be 729.87 hours x 65% x
$34.71 = $16,466.96; and
WHEREAS, $16,466.96 will be contributed to Officer Broos' Retirement Health Savings
Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves a
one-time payout of sick time not to exceed $16,466.96 into Officer Terry Broos' Retirement
Health Saving Plan.
Adopted this 11th day of May, 2009.
