RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE FOR
POLICE OFFICER STEVE GERINGER
WHEREAS, Officer Steve Geringer has retired from the Mounds View Police
Department effective May 22, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused sick leave time is 135.50 hours as of
May 22, 2009; and
and
WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation is 166.72 as of May 22, 2009;
WHEREAS, Officer Geringer's current rate of pay of $34.71 per hour; and
WHEREAS, the maximum potential payout of sick time will be 135.50 hours x 50% x
$34.71 = $2,351.60; and
WHEREAS, the maximum potential payout of vacation time will be 166.72 x $34.71 =
$5,786.85; and
WHEREAS, $8,138.45 will be contributed to Officer Geringer's Retirement Health
Savings Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves a
one-time payout of sick and vacation time not to exceed $8,138.45 into Officer Steve Geringer's
Retirement Health Saving Plan.
