Resolution Approving an On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for
Moe's
WHEREAS, Moe's Intoxicating Liquor License expires June 30, 2009; and
WHEREAS, all City of Mounds View business licenses must be approved by the
City Council; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends approval of Moe's Intoxicating Liquor License
pending full payment of their county property taxes and satisfactory background check;
and
WHEREAS, Moe's is requesting to sell intoxicating liquor outdoors; and
WHEREAS, staff has reviewed all application materials to include the application
outdoor liquor consumption; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends approval of Moe's Outdoor Liquor Endorsement
contingent on full payment of county property taxes; and
WHEREAS, Moe's has submitted a plan to have county taxes paid in full by
October 1, 2009.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does
hereby approve an On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License (with Outdoor Liquor
Endorsement) to Moe's for the period of July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010, pending full
payment of their property taxes by October 1, 2009. and a satisfactory background
check from the Minnesota Department of Criminal Apprehension.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that if county property taxes
are not fully paid by October 1, 2009, then nonpayment may be grounds for Suspension
or Revocation of the liquor license under §502.16 of the Mounds View City Code.
