CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
PROCLAIMING APRIL 30, 2010 AS "ARBOR DAY"
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has been recognized for 28
consecutive years as a Tree City USA Community by the National Arbor Day
Foundation for its commitment to urban Forestry; and
WHEREAS, trees in our City beautify our surroundings, shade our parks
and residents, increase property values, reduce energy use, enhance the
economic vitality of business areas and promote healthier communities; and
WHEREAS, the City will be planting a tree at Groveland Park in
appreciation to Rick Wriskey's 28 years of service as Mounds View City Forester;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that April 30, 2010, be declared
Arbor Day in Mounds View and public-spirited and foresighted citizens be called
upon to assist in the planting of trees now for the use and enjoyment of present
and future generations.
