STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRE OF DON BURDA TO THE
POSITION OF PART-TIME, SEASONAL BUILDING INSPECTOR IN THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council gave direction to City staff to search for a
person for the position of part-time seasonal building inspector in the Community Development
Department; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized this position in Resolution 7614 subject to
several conditions including setting a maximum budget of $7,200 for the position for 2010; and,
WHEREAS, City staff contacted the former part-time building inspector pon Burda to
gauge his interest in the position; and,
WHEREAS, Don Burda has the necessary background, training, experience, interest and
skills to perForm the duties assigned to this seasonal, part-time position; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does hereby
approve the hire of Don Burda to the position of part-time, seasonal building inspector in the
Community Development Department, subject to:
Mr. Burda passing the required background checks.
2. The City paying Mr. Burda $18.00 per hour.
3. The City Council has set a maximum budget for this position of $7,200 for 2010.
4. Mr. Burda's seasonal employment shall begin on or after June 1, 2010 and shall
not last longer than 6 months.
