CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AUTHORIZING BOLTON & MENK TO PERFORM ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR
THE MUNICIPAL WELL NO. 2 MOTOR REPLACEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the motor for Municipal Well No. 2 is in need of replacement and is
included in the Capital Improvement Project and adopted 2010 Budget (700-4823-
7050); and
WHEREAS, City staff has consulted Bolton & Menk on several well issues and
are familiar with their history and abilities; and
WHEREAS, in cooperation with City staff, Bolton & Menk prepared a letter
proposal dated Apri! 27, 2010 for engineering services associated with the motor
replacement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The letter proposal dated April 27, 2Q10 submitted by Bolton & Menk fio provide
engineering services for the Municipal Well No. 2 Motor Replacement Project is
accepted by the City. Compensation as outlined in the letter proposal will be on a
lump sum basis for $20,000.
2. The Public Works Director is directed to draft an Owner-Engineer Agreement with
Bolton & Menk to provide said engineering services.
3. The City Attorney is authorized to review the Owner-Engineer Agreement.
4. Upon satisfactory review by the City Attorney, the Mayor and City Administrator are
hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the City, to execute and enter
into the Owner-Engineer Agreement.
