CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
Resolution Authorizing Certification of the Proposed General Fund Budget and
Property Tax Levy for Fiscal Year 2011
WHEREAS, current state statute requires cities to certify a proposed budget and tax
levy to the county auditor; and,
WHEREAS, guidelines established by the Commissioner of Revenue require
certification to occur on or before September 15, 2010; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Revenue has certified the amount of Local
Government Aid payable to the City in 2011.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View that the proposed budget for the General Fund for fiscal year 2011 is $5,565,298.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proposed 2011 base property tax levy is
$3,702,792 (General Fund $3,402,792 and Street Improvement Fund $300,000) and the
proposed 2011 special levies are $519,583 for a total net property tax levy of $4,222,375.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Director shall certify these amounts
to the Ramsey County Auditor.
