GEOTECHNICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL EVALUATION FOR THE DESIGN PHASE
FOR AREA D OF THE 2010 STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, on October 22, 2007 the City Council adopted Resolution 7176
establishing the Street and Utility Improvement Program (Program), which includes nine
Street and Utility Improvement Projects identified as Areas A through I; and
WHEREAS, on September 28, 2009 the City Council adopted Resolution 7504
authorizing preliminary surveying activities for Area D of the Program; and
WHEREAS, Area D of the Program is scheduled for construction during 2011;
and
WHEREAS, on July 12, 2010 the City Council adopted Resolution 7643
authorizing Bonestroo to perform engineering services for the design phase for Area D
of the Program; and
WHEREAS, Staff solicited three qualified geotechnical firms and received a
proposal for $5,005 from Braun Intertec Corporation of Minneapolis, Minnesota to
perform a preliminary geotechnical and environmental evaluation for the design phase
for Area D of the Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The proposal dated September 8, 2010 submitted by Braun Intertec Corporation for
$5,005 to perform a preliminary geotechnical and environmental evaluation for the
design phase for Area D of the Program is accepted by the City.
2. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed, for and on
behalf of the City, to execute the proposal dated September 8, 2010 with Braun
Intertec Corporation.
