WHEREAS, It sppears to the Village Council of the Village of Mounds View that
the streets hereunder described should be located, established, designated and
numbered as "Municipal State Aid Streets" under the provisions of Minnesota Laws of
1957, Chapter 943;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Viliage Council of the Village of Mounds
View that the streets described and numbered as follows, to -wit:
(a) Number 230 Groveland Road from County Road "J" to Bronson Drive.
Bronson Drive from Groveland to Knollwood. Knollwood Drive from
Bronson Drive to County Road "H
(b) Number 228 Hillview Road from Highway 8 to Red Oak Drive. Red Oak
Drive from Hillview to Highway 10.
(c) Number 229 Quincy Street from Hillview Road to County Road "H2
be, and hereby are designated as "Municipal State Aid Streets" of said Village.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Council with the assistance of its
Village Engineet has determined that the following are the minimum requirements for
State Aid Assistance on the above described roads.
RESOLUTION 9
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING NUMBERS TO STATE AID ROADS AND ESTABLISHING
A MINIMUM REQUIREtENT FOR THE STATE AID ROADS WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF
MOUNDS VIEW.
1. All roads designated as State Aid Roads shall have a minimum width of
forty -four (44) feet.
2. Each road shall be paved with a six (6) inch subbase and one (1) inch
mixed prime and a three (3) inch plant mix wearing course.
3. Each street shall have installed on it, curbs and gutters made of concrete.
4. There shall be a street light at each intersection.
5. There shall be a storm sewer system built in conjunction with the
State Aid Roads to permit the adequate drainage of the road areas.
6. There shall be semaphore control lights at the following intersections:
(a) County Road "H2" and Knollwood Drive.
(b) Quincy Street and County Road "I
7. All of the State Aid Roads shall be capable of handling nine (9) ton traffic.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to forward two certified copies of this resolution to the Commissioner of Highways for
his consideration, that upon his approval of the designation of said streets, or portions
thereof, such approved streets or portions thereof phall comprise the Municipal State Aid
Street System of the Village of Mounds View, and that same be constructed, improved and
maintained in accordance with the above Resolution and the rules and regulations of the
Commissioner of Highways, and the provisions of Minnesota Laws of 1957, Charter 943.
