HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 0025At a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Mounds View, duly held on the 18th day August, 1959, the following roRn1 1- i nn w,75 offered by Gibson seconded by Sullivan to -wit: WHEREAS, the very urgent need of a hospital to serve our people his heon evident to our council, and WHEREAS, p reuant to a recognition of this need, a study with other communities as to possible solutions has been undertaken, and WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Cities of Columbia Heights, Fridley and Coon Rapids, together with the Villages of Blaine, Spring Lake Park, Lexington and Circle Pines join together in an effort to fill this need tf a hospital to serve our needs, and WHEREAS, this will require some initial financing and a representative of our community, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the council hereby arpoints James Einne to represent them in this joint effort and hereby authorizes and directs the payment of up to $500.00 to be used for such study, survey and development of hospital needs and such basic organizational expenses as are needed and tLat these funds are to be dispersed at the direction of committee, and further be it resolved that committee shall report back to this council as soon as practical and from time to time as to the progress and velopment of this study. Upon the call of the roll the following members voted in favor of the resolution: Gibson, Smith, Hodges and Sullivan.
