the Village Council of Lae Vi1laye of Mounds Vlew, Minnesota was

at 10107 __o'clock P.M., with tae followiny members present:
Trustee Perry Malvin
Trustee Melford C. Christensen
The Council tnen considered the preliminary report neretofore
prepared by Comstock and Davis as to the feasibility and estimated
cost of constructing additional water mains, valves, nydrants, service
lines and appurtenances tnereto designated as Waterworks Improvement
1960 -3. After consideriny said report member Smith introduced
the following resolution and moved its adoption:
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING
REPORT AND CALLING A PRELIMINARY PUBLIC HEARING ON
THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF WATERWORKS IMPROVEMENT
1960 -3.
BE IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the Village of
Mounds View, Minnesota, as follows:
(1) That the preliminary en9ineeriny report heretofore
prepared by Comstock and Davis as to the feasibilit
and estimated cost of constructing Waterworks Improvement 1960 -3
is hereby approved and ordered filed. This Council shall meet
at the time and place specified in the form of notice hereinafter
contained for the purpose of conducting a preliminary public
hearing on the proposed construction of said improvement; and the
Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of said
meeting to be published in the official newspaper at least twice,
which publications shall be one week apart witn the last publica-
tion not later than three days prior to the date of said rearing.
Said notice shall be in substantially the following form:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village
of Mounds View, Minnesota, will meet at the Red Oak School in said
Village on Monday, August 15, 1960, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., C.D.S.T.,
for the purpose of conducting a preliminary public hearing on the
proposed construction of Waterworks Improvement 1960 -3 in said
Village. Said works shall consist of the construction of lateral
water mains, service lines, valves, hydrants and appurtenances
thereto in the following areas:

In the streets and public roads lying west of the east
property line of Fairchild Avenue and south of U. S.
Highway No. 10:
In the streets and public roads lying west of Edgewood
Road and east of Groveland Street between Sherwood and
County Road I:
In Woodlawn from Sherwood to Ardan; on Ardan from Woodlawn
to Laport Drive; on Laport Drive from Ardan to Woodlawn;
on Edgewood from Sherwood to Laport Drive; on Long Lake
Road from Sherwood to Ardan; on Ardan from Long Lake
Road to Woodlawn.
The estimated cost of said improvement is $294,955.
The area proposed to be assessed for special benefit derived
from said improvement in each lot, piece and parcel of property
abutting upon the above streets within the Village of Mounds
View. All persons whose property may be so assessed may at the
9 above stated time and place present oral or written objections
to said improvement.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
duly seconded by member Malvin and upon a v o t e be ing taken
the following members voted in favor thereof:

whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted.

the Village of Mounds View, Minnesota DO HEREBY CERTIFY that I
have carefully compared the attached and foregoing extract of
minutes of a meeting of the Village Council of said Village
held on the date therein indicated with the original of said
minutes on file in my office, and that said extract is a full,
true and correct transcript of said minutes insofar said
minutes relate to the approval of the preliminary report and
the calming of a preliminary hearing of the proposed construction
of Waterworks Improvement 1960 -3.
