OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OE THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW. MINNESOTA
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the
Village Council of the Village of Mounds View, Minnesota was held at the Village
Hall in said Viilaae on the 9th day of July 1962 at B:00 p.m. with the following
members present: crane, Hodes, alvin and SttLivan
and the following members absent: Blanchard
Member Crane introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
1 08 A RESOLUTION MODIFYING ASSESSMENTS FOR AREA WATER, LATERAL
WATER, WATER SERVICE AND WATER MAIN 60 -3.
WHEREAS, The Village Council has determined that certain assessments
are to be modified or divided,
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the following list of
divisions a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby
accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein,
and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the
proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it.
2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments
extending over a period of fifteen years, the first of the installments to be
payable on or after the first Monday in January, 1961 and shall bear interest
at the rate of 6 per cent per annum from the date of the adoption of this
assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest on the
entire assessment from the date of this resolutionn until December 31, 1961. To
each subsequent installment when due shall be added interest for one year on all
unpaid installments.
3. The owner or" any property so assessed may, at any time prior
to certification of the assessment to the county auCiicui, pay the
whole o f th
assessment on such property, with interest accrued to the date of payment to
the Village Treasurer, except that no interest shall be charged if the
entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this resolution;
and he may at any time thereafter, pay to the county treasurer the entire amount
of the assessment remai,ing unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the
yoar in which such payment is made.
4. The Clerk shall forthwith tr -ismit a certitled d of
this division to the county auditor to be extended on the proper tax list of the
county, and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner
as other municipal taxes.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Sullivan and upon a vote being taken, the following
members voted in favor thereof: Crane, Hodges, Malvin, and Sullivan
and the following members voted against the same:
whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted.
