Rf:: xl �iI 1, L i .t r c.s �t..�/ VILLA= CtsBK Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Mounds View, Minnesota, was held at the Village Hall in said Village on the 10th day of September, 1962 at 8:05 p.m. with the following members present: Crane, Blanchard, Hodges, Malvin and Sullivan and the following members absent: None Member Blanchard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS FOR WATERMAIN EXTENSIONS 1962 -2. WHEREAS, Pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Watermain Extensions 1962 -2, the following bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Barbarossa Sons, Inc. St. Cloud $28,847.00 Peter Lametti Const. St. Paul $28,693.50 Herbst Construction Co. Minneapolis $21,466.00 Montgomery Const. Co. St. Croix Falls $17,443.00 Walbon Excavating Minneapolis $18,872.00 Randall Berglin Minneapolis $37,835.00 Moretinni Construction St. Paul $28,191.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the Village of Mounds View, Minnesota: 1. That the bids be referred to the Village Engineer for study and tabulation. Member Hodges seconded the motion and upon a vote being taken, the following members voted in favor thereof: Crane, Blanchard, Hodges, Malvin and Sullivan and the following members voted against: None whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted. Member Blanchard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW, MINNESOTA A I-'.ESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR WATERMAIN EXTENSIONS 1962 -2. WHEREAS, Pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Watermain Extensions 1962 -2, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Barbarossa Sons, Inc. St. Cloud $28,847.00 Peter Lametti Const. St. Paul $28,693.50 Herbst Construction Co. Minneapolis $21,466.00 Montgomery Const. Co. Ct. Croix Falls $17,443.00 Walbon Excavating Minneapolis $18,872.00 Randall Berglin Minneapolis $37,835.00 Moretinni Construction St. Paul $28,191.00 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Montgomery Const. Co. of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin is the lowest responsible bidder, with a base bid of $17,443.00, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the Village of Mounds View, Minnesota: (1) The mayor and clerk are hreby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Montgomery Const. Co. of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin in the name of the Village of Mounds View for the improvement designated as Watermain Extensions 1962 -2 according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the Village Council and on file in the office of the Village Clerk. (2) The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Hodges and upon a vote being taken, the following members voted in favor thereof: Crane, Blanchard, Hodges, Malvin and Sullivan and the following members voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted. Adopted by the Council this 10th day of September, 1962.
