HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 0132EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW, MINNESOTA Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Mounds View, Minnesota was held at the Village Hall in said Village on the 22nd day of April, 1963 at 6 :00 o'clock p.m. with the following members present: Crane, Blanchard, Malvin, Sul1 van and Hodges and the following members absent: None Member Hodges introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: 132 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT FOR WATER PROJECT 1962 -2. WHEREAS, Pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for Water Project 1962 -2, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW, MINNESOTA: 1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein, and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. 2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of fifteen years, the first of the installments to be payable on or after the first Monday of January, 1964 and shall bear interest at the rate of 6 per cent per annum from the date of the adoption of this assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1964. To each subsequent installment when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. 3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment to the County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on such property, with interest accrued to the date of payment, to the village treasurer, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this resolution; and he may, at any time thereafter, pay to the County Treasurer the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment is made. 4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Auditor to be executed on the proper tax lists of the county, and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Sullivan, and upon a vote being taken, the following members voted in favor thereof: Crane, Blanchard, Hodges, Sullivan and Malvin and the following members voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted. VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW) I. the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting Clerk of the Village of Mounds View, Minnesota, DO HEREBY CERTIFY That I have carefully compared the attached and foregoing extract of minutes of a meeting of the Village Council of said Village held on the date therein indicated with the original minutes thereof on file in my office and that the same is a full, true and correct transcript thereof insofar as said minutes relate to a resolution adopting the assessment for Water Project 1962 -2.
