RESOLUTION NO. 295
VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF SUPERVISOR
OF OFFICE OPERATIONS AND SETTING FORTH THE DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF SAID OFFICE.
and the following members absent: None
Member Walser moved as follows:
meeting of the co:ncil of the Village of Mounds
View held on the 10 day of April, 19u'i at the Village Hall, located at
2401 Highway 10, with the following members present: Mayor Rustad, Clerk Walser
Trustees, Johnson, Malvin, Lang
WHEREAS, the Village of Mounds View has experienced steady growth in
population since its incorporation in 1958, and because of said growth an
extensive public utilities system has been constructed, and
WHEREAS, because of the foregoing it has been necessary to expand the
work and personnel in the Village offices, and
WHEREAS, in order to provide the services desired by the residents of
the Village of Mounds View,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the position of Supervisor of
Office Operations is hereby created pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 412.111.
The Supervisor of Office Operations shall be appointed by the Council, upon
the recommendation of the Village Clerk, and the Council may remove said
Supervisor at its pleasure. The Council shall prescribe the duties and fix
the compensation of the Supervisor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the duties of the Supervisor of Office
Operations shall be as follows:
1. He shall be in charge of all office personnel. He shall make
recommendations to the Village Council relative to the hiring, suspensions,
terminations, working hours, classification of employees, salaries, vacation
schedules, and other benefits, which the Council may consider and act upon.
2. He shall establish and be responsible for the office procedures
necessary to carry out the orderly process of Village government.
3. He shall make recommendations to the Village Council as to what
equipment and supplies he feels are necessary to properly maintain the Village
office.
4. He shall assist the Village Clerk in performing those dut'�s imposed
upon said Clerk by statute. It is understood that those statutory responsibilities
imposed upon the Clerk are in no way modified or abrogated by this resolution.
5. He shall assist the Village Council and shall be responsible for the
daily administration of Village business, and he shall perform such other
appropriate duties as may be imposed upon him by the Council.
6. The Supervisor of Office Operations must be bondable, and must furnish
a bond conditioned for the faithful exercise of his duties and the proper
application of, and payment upon demand of, all monies by him officially received.
The amount of said bond shall be 2,000 and shall be a corporate surety
bo..d. The premium for such bond shall be paid from Village funds.

those voting against: Trustee Johnson
whereupon the Mayor declared that the resolution was duly adopted this
10 day of
April
1967.
