A RESOLUTION ABATING ASSESSMENTS
At a regular meeting of the Village Council held on the 12th day of
August 1968, 8 :00 o'clock P.M., in the Village Hall with the following members
present: Rustad, Maivin, Lang, Lad Johnson
and the following members absent: None
Member Rustad moved the following resolution:
A RESOLUTION ABATING CERTAIN ASSESSMENTS
WHEREAS, the Village Council has reviewed the following assessments
and after deliberation has determined that said assessments should be abated
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following assessments be
abated and that the County Auditor 1s instructed to delete said assessment from the
tax roll of the affected properties:
The North 130 feet of Lot 39, Auditor's Subdivision, Ramsey
County, Minnesota, in the name of Lloyd R. Bardwell, 8493
Spring Lake Park Road, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55421.
Delete 200 feet at $3.65 per running foot in the total amount of
$730.00 from D. P. 61.
Member Lang seconded the resolution.
Those voting in favor: Rustad, Maivin, Lang and Johnson
those voting against: None
whereupon the Mayor declared the resolution duly adopted the 12th day of

I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified Clerk of the Village of Mounds
View, Minnesota, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that I have carefully compared the attached and
foregoing extract of minutes of a meeting of the Village Council of said Village
held on the date therein indicated with the original minutes thereof on file in
my office and that the same is a full, true and correct transcript thereof insofar
as said minutes relate to a resolution abating assessments.
WITNESS My hand officially and the official seal of the Village this
12th day of August 1968.

Re: Bardwell Water Abatement
The Village Council of ?Mounds View has revised its abatement of the
Bardwell property at County Road "J" Spring Lake Road (the N 130'
of Lot 39, Aud. Sub. 89). We were going to abate 300', and this has
now been revised to abate 200' and leave 100' assessed against a
lot which Mr. Bardwell is selling at the East end of his property.
The amount to be abated is 200 x $3.65 $730.00, from D.P. #61.
George Gustafson has no doubt contacted you on this matter as he has
me -many times. I hope for George's sake we can push this through.

This is to state that at the last meeting of the Mounds View Council,
they approved the splitting of the lot (The North 130 feet of Lot /Ai,
A/S #89, Ramsey County), so that the east 130 feet could be severed
and sold (100 feet for the building site and 30 feet for 1/2 the
proposed street), with the buyer assuming the assessments pertaining
to it (present, $385.00) and future.
They also agreed to abate the water assessment on the county road "J"
side of the lot left after this split and sale, amounting to $730.00
(figured at $3.65 per lineal foot).
At the next meeting a copy of this resolution will be available and
we can send you a photostatic copy confirming same.
This letter at this time, is to expedite matters for the Realtor, Mr.
George 0. Gustafson, of F. N. Shaffer Real Estate, Inc., so that a
deed may be issued and filed on the east 130 feet; a plat filed; and
construction of homes on same, started without further delay.
