HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 0433RESOLUTION NO. 433 VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA At a Regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Mounds View, held on the loth day of February 1969 at 2401 Highway 10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112 with the following members present: Rustad, Malvin, Johnson, Hodges, Blanchard those absent: None resolution: Member Blanchard introduced the following A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF FRIDLEY AND THE VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW FOR THE PURPOSE OF PERMITTING CERTAIN RESIDENTS IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW TO CONNECT ONTO THE CITY OF FRIDLEY'S MUNICIPAL SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM. WHEREAS, agreement has been reached between the City of Fridley and the Village of Mounds View to allow the residents living in the Village of Mounds View on Stinson Boulevard (Pleasantview Drive) to connect to the Fridley municipal sanitary sewer system under certain conditions and WHEREAS, the Village Council is agreeable to the provisions therein recited, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Mounds View hereby agrees to the terms and conditions of the above recited agreement, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the Clerk are hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the Village of Mounds View. VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW) I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting Deputy Clerk of the Village of Mounds View, Minnesota, do hereby certify that I have carefully compared the attached and foregoing extract of minutes of a meeting of the governing body of the above municipality held on the date therein indicated, and that the same is a full, true and correct copy of said minutes, insofar as the same relate to the resolution authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to execute the agreement between the City of Fridley and the Village of Mounds View for the purpose of permitting certain residents in the Village of Mounds View to connect onto the City of Fridley's municipal sanitary sewer system. February 1969. whereupon the Mayor declared the resolution duly adopted this 10th WITNESS My hand officially this loth day of Mayor Village Cler 'r� That a sewer connection permit be taken out so that the cost of inspection will be recovered. The Mounds View resident will apply fcr said permit through the Mounds View Village Office and the Village Office will obtain said permit from the City of Fridley. The City of Fridley will pursuant to the above conditions, permit the above named properties in the Village of Mounds View to connect to the municipal sewer system of the City of Fridley. This agreement shall be perpetual, subject to the above conditions. Monies due for the privilege of connecting to the existing City of Fridley sewer system shall be paid before construction is commenced or connections made. The City of Fridley shall be responsible for the maintenance of the sanitary sewer lateral located in the above described streets and shall be responsible for the disposal of sewage introduced into said lateral. This agreement shall be binding and effective upon the approval of the respective councils of the City of Fridley and the Village of Mounds View. IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the contracting parties hereto have caused this agreement to be executed in their behalf by the proper officers who have been duly authorized to sign on behalf of the municipalities and have caused their corporate seals to be affixed as of the day and year first above written. By By Resolution No.. 433 Authorized Signing of the following Agreement AGREEMrm T BETWEEN THE CITY OF FRIDLEY AND THE VILLAGE OF MOULDS VIEW FOR THE FL'FPOSE OF PERMITTING CERTAIN RESIDENTS IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW TO CONNECT ONTO THE CITY OF FRIDLEY'S MUNICIPAL SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM THIS AGREEMENT, Made and entered into this 10th day of February 1969, by and between the City of Fridley and the Village of Mounds View, WHEREAS, it is mutually beneficial that certain residents of the Village of Mounds View be permitted to connect onto the sanitary sewer system of the City of Fridley, NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed as follows: That certain property fronting on Stinson Boulevard (Pleasantview Drive) between County Road H2 to County Road I in the Village of Mounds View be permitted to connect onto the City of Fridley's municipal sanitary sewer system subject to the following conditions: 1. The Village of Mounds View or the individual property owners will pay to the North Suburban Sanitary Sewer District the established REC charge, such REC charge to be charged against the Village of Mounds View's allotment and not the City of Fridley's allotment. 2. That the Village of Mounds View will pay to the City of Fridley sewer use charges at the same rate as is charged residents of the City of Fridley, less the NSSSD use charge for the same service, such charges at this time being $7.00 per quarter including the $4.50 payable to the North Suburban Sanitary Sewer District. 3. The type of service to be connected to be one family residential units only. 4. That the Village of Mounds View on behalf of the residents pay to the City of Fridley, at the time of connection, the equivalent lateral charge as is called for in the City of Fridley Ordinance No. 113, the same as is being charged to the residents of the City of Fridley who connect to the municipal system and who have not previously paid a lateral assessment. The present rate being paid Fridley residents is $6.88 per front foot and will remain at $6.88 per foot during the year 1969. The rate per foot charged for the equivalent lateral charge will be recomputed at the end of each calendar year. If the rate per foot increases the City of Fridley will allow connections for a six month period at the old rate.
