VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
At a regular meeting of the Village Council of the
Village of Mounds View held at the Village Hall at 2401 Highway
10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112, on the 13th day of April, 1.970
at 8:or o'clock P.M., with the following members present:
Rustad, i!adges, Blanchard, Neisen
and the following members absent: Malvin
Member Rustad moved the following:
A RESOLUTION ENDORSING AND SUPPORTING THE
"621 GROWTH COORDINATION COMMITTEE" AND
PROVIDING FOR REPRESENTATION ON SUCH
COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, representatives from a number of municipalities
within Independent School District 621 have jointly formed a
committee known as the "621 Growth Coordination Committee and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this organization is to aid in
growth and development of tax base for Independent School District
621, consistent with recognized principle of highest and proper
land use planning, and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mounds View is located within the
boundaries of Independent School District 621, and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mounds View would benefit from the
accomplishment of the objectives of the committee,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village Council of
the Village of Mounds View does hereby endorse and support the
organizat' and efforts of the committee to develop a broader tax
base consistent with the recognized princirles of the highest and
proper land use planning, and
WHEREAS BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View Village
Council would demonstate its endorsement and support by annually
appointing a representative from its Village Council to serve as
a member of the "621 Growth Coordination Committee."
Member Neisen seconded the resolution.
Those voting in favor: Pustad, Blanchard, Hodges, Neisen
those voting against: None
whereupon the Mayor duly declared the motion adopted.
