RESOLUTION APPROVING A TRANSFER OF AN OFF -SALE 3.2 MALT LIQUOR
BUSINESS LICENSE FROM SPEEDWAY SUPERAMERICA, LLC, (RONALD
EDMISTON, OWNER) TO NORTHERN TIER RETAIL, LLC, (REX BUTCHER,
PRESIDENT) FOR SPEEDWAY SUPERAMERICA LOCATED AT
2640 COUNTY ROAD I
WHEREAS, Speedway SuperAmerica, LLC, requests a transfer of ownership for
their Off -Sale 3.2 Malt Liquor License to Northern Tier Retail, LLC for the Speedway
SuperAmerica located at 2640 County Road 10 in Mounds View; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Rex Butcher, President of Northern Tier Retail, LLC has submitted
all appropriate application materials and fees; and
WHEREAS, this establishment was issued a satisfactory fire inspection from the
Fire Marshal on October 7, 2010; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends approval of this transfer, with the condition that
the City receives a satisfactory background report from the Connecticut Department of
Public Safety and receives the Certificate of Liquor Liability Insurance.
WHEREAS, all City of Mounds View businesses licenses must be approved by the
City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does
hereby approve a transfer of an Off -Sale 3.2 Malt Liquor License to Rex Butcher, President
of Northern Tier Retail, LLC, doing business as Speedway SuperAmerica, located at 2640
County Road I, contingent on a satisfactory background report from the Connecticut
Department of Public Safety and receiving a Certificate of Liquor Liability Insurance as
required by the City Code.
NOW, FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the term of this license will start on
November 1, 2010 and expire on June 30, 2011.
Adopted this 11 day of October, 2010.
