A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE UPDATED HOUSING ACTION PLAN FOR THE CITY
OF MOUNDS VIEW
WHEREAS, on December 9, 2009, the Metropolitan Council approved the City's latest
Comprehensive Plan; and,
WHEREAS, on February 8, 2010, the City Council approved Resolution 7571 which
gave final approval to the Comprehensive Plan Update; and
WHEREAS, on August 23, 2010, the City Council adopted Resolution 7654 which
approved the City's continued participation in the Local Housing Incentives Account program
under the Livable Communities Act for the years 2011 -2020; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 7654 included a range of affordable housing units (53 -81) and
life -cycle housing units (80 -200) the City expects that will develop in Mounds View by the year
2020; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 7654 also noted that the City would be preparing a plan that
identifies the actions the City would take to meet these housing goals; and
WHEREAS, the City has prepared an update of the City's Housing Action Plan to meet
the requirements of the Metropolitan Council and the Livable Communities Act; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council does
hereby approve the updated Housing Action Plan for the City of Mounds View.
