Rusted Richard Meyers Otto Bonestroo June 11,`'1958 The meeting was opened at 8:02 P.M. by Mayor, James W. Gibson. The minutes of the June 3, 1958 meeting were read and approved by by Drecinct #2, north of Biehwav 1D Road I and W' f amend motion of previous w Road to Highway 8; Pre my Road I, south of County Roar and ilorth to Hillview Road, south of Hillview Rd. and 'East to Highway 8. The following voted aye-- Achterkirch, WHEREAS, At a meeting of the Village Council of Mounds View and upon the recommendation of the Village Engineer, Otto Bonestroo, held on June 11, 1958, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Mounds View: 1. Such an improvement that has been recommended by the Village Engineer relative to the proposed improvement of Edgewood Drive is hereby adopted. 2. That appropriate publications shall be made in the Construction Bulletin and legal newspaper as directed by the ViilageAttorney. 3. Said notices shall be published June 18 and 19 and the bids will be open in the Village Hall on July 1, 1958 at 9:00 o'clock P.M. Said improvement shall be paid by assessment of benefited pr5perty owners and /or from general funds. The above resolution was moved by Sullivan and seconded by Achterkirch and was duly passed and adopted this llth day of June, 1958. Motion by Achterkirch, seconded by Sullivan to hold a hearing at 7:30 P.M. on July 1, 1958 in regard to the improvement on Edgewood Rd. The following voted aye-- Achterkirch, Gibson, Trvine, Rustad and Sullivan. i'otion carried. WHEREAS, at a meeting of the Village Council of Mounds View and upon the recommendation of the Village Engineer, Otto Bonestroo, held on June 11, 1958, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Mounds View: 1. The improvement on Bronson Drive between the intersection of Bronson Drive and Quincy Street west to the intersection of Bronson Drive and Adams Street requiring the establishment of a full size street which necessitates rekrading. widening, and resurfacing according to the specifications set up by the Village Engineer, Otto Bonestroo, is hereby adopted. 2. The appropriate publications shall be made in the Construction Bulletin' and legal newspaper June 18 and 19 for said road improvement in the amount of $2500. 3. Said notices shall be published June 18 and 19 and the bids will be open in the Village Ball on July 1, 1958 at 9:30 o'clock P.M. Said improvement shall be paid by assessment of benefited property owners and /or from general funds. The above resolution was <moved by Achterkirch and seconded by Sullivan and was duly passed and adopted this llth day of June, 1958. Motion by Achterkirch, seconded by Rusted to issue a permit for a garage at 55 Erickson Rd. (Lot 2, Block' 2, Spring Lake Park Highlands) subject to the filing of a restriction with the Register of Deeds. Garage is being placed 5 feet from the house, restriction will keep garage and house from being attached at any 'late in the future. The following voted aye—Achterkirch, Gibson, Irvine, Rustad and Sullivan." Motion carried. Mr. Mueller appeared regarding rezoning of property at County Rd. H2 and Fairchild. Informed as to rezoning procedure and given rezoning form. Delegation from Twelve Oaks appeared protesting proposed rezoning of prover' in Twelve Oaks. Informed that petition had not been presented as yet and after the petition was presented a bearing would be held. Motion by Rusted, seconded by Irvine to appoint Charles E. Jackson, Sr. as Civil Defense Director. The following voted aye Achterkirch, Gibson, Irvine, Rusted and Sullivan. Motion carried. Trustee Rusted instructed to have speed signs and "hatch out for Children eigns installed at Redoak School and near Grovelar_d and Sherwood. Motion by Achterkirch, seconded by Rustad to join the "League of Minnesota Municipalities The following voted aye e terkirch, Gibson, Irvine, Rusted and Sullivan. Notion carried. Motion by Rusted, seconded by Achterkirch that the Clerk's salary be set at $50.00 a month. The following voted aye-- Achterkirch, Gilson, Rustad and Sullivan. rbst +yin- Irvine. Motion carried.. Motion by Rustad, seconded by Achterkirch that the Heating Inspector require heating contractors to file heat loss with heating permits. The following voted aye-- Achterkirch, Gibson, Irvine, Rustad and Sullivan. Motion carried. Motion by Rustad, seconded by Achterkirch to accept Ordinance #53. The following voted aye-- Achterkirch, Gipson, Irvine, Rustad and Sullivan. Motion' carried. Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Achterkirch to approve Jack Dell and Frank Kilroe as members of Health and Public Safety Commi ttee. The following; voted aye• Achterkirch, Gibson, Irvine, Rustad and Sullivan. Motion carried. Motion by Rustad, seconded by Sullivan to approve Glenn Dawson and Ernest Grabowski as members ofrPublic Works and Civil Defense Committee. The following voted aye Achterkirch, Gibson, Irvine, Rustad and Sullivan. Motion carried. Motion by Achterkirch, seconded by Rustad to adjourn meeting at 11:55 P.M.
