HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 1958/07/2916 July 29, 1958 A special meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Mounds View was held July 29, 1958 at the Mounds View Village Hall, 1450 W. Highway 96. The following members were present: Mayor: Clerk: Trustees: and the following member was absent and the following were also present: Deputy Clerk: Legal Counsel: The meeting was opened at 8:03 P.M. by Mayor, Mr. and Mrs. Christensen: School District 621 Carlson- Lavine: Village of Mounds View: Special assessment meeting to be held August Motion by Irvine, seconded by Rustad to adjourn James W. Gibson Martha Irvine John L. Sullivan Ingram C. Rustad Reuben G. Achterkirch Mary Jean Milbrandt Richard Meyers James W. Gibson. Mr. McFadden, Assistant District Engineer of the Minnesota Department of Highways, presented the maps of the proposed Highway #10. Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Rusted to adopt resolution #7, accepting highway department plans. 4 ayes. Motion carried. Motion by Irvine to have the attorney proceed with the legal steps necessary to prevent obstruction of Arden Avenue and to perfect an easement where the present Arden Ave, runs, if there is not a satisfactory response to a letter from the attorney to Don Voge. Motion seconded by Sullivan. 4 ayes. Motion carried. Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Rustad to have Clerk prepare assessment list as follows'for public inspection: 231.47 2,314.70 925.88 1,15 S4,629.40 19, 1958 at 8 :00 P.M. 4 ayes. Motion carried. Motion by Sullivan, .econded by Rustad to table Ordinance 58, Dog Ordinanue until August 5th meeting. 4 ayes. Motion carried. Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Rustad to approve ainutes as corrected. Motion by Irvine, seconded by Sullivan to reconsider Curfew Ordinance at August 5th meeting. 4 ayes. Motion carried. Motion by Irvine, seconded by Sullivan that not more than 2 council members should be on the Planning commission: of the members of the committee who are not elected officials of the Village, 3 members will serve a 1 year term, 3 members a two year term and 3 members a 3 year term. Terms will be arranged alphabetically until each member has a 3 year term. The Attorney and Engineer to be ex- officio members of the committee. 4 ayes. Motion carried.
