VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
December 1, 1959
The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor
James W. Gibson at 8:02 P.M. on December 1, 1959 at the Village Hall, 1450 West Highway 96.
The following members were present:
Mayor: Jam W. Gibson

Perry Malvin
Deputy Clerk: Betty walbridge
Leaal Councel: Richard Meyers
Treasurer: Irene Edberg
The following member was absent:

The minutee of the November 17th meeting was read by Deputy Clerk Betty Walbridge
and the following corrections were made thereto: The last paragraph on page 1 should read
that it is not advisable to go into the certificates at this time instead of the certificates
could not be issued due to the fact that the village has not been incorporated for three
years. On page 2 third paragraph the last hart of the first sentence reading "or Should be
offered for sale by the village publicly" to be stricken. Motion by Hodges, seconded by Malvin
to approve the minutes as corrected. Motion carried.
A necti of the members o f the council, the Preo Dernty Clerk ard new members of
the council, if any, to discuss the arrangement of financial matters, books, ntc. was tabled
until December 15th meeting to set a date.
The following licensee were presented to the council:West End Air Conditioning new heating
contracting license, Klugman Plumbing new plumbing contracting license, London Plumbing renewal
plumbing contracting license, Julian Johnson Construction Corporation new general contracting
license, Hoffman Electric new electrical contracting license, Farr Plumbing seating new plumbing
contracting license, R. A. Wiley Well Co., Inc. new general contracting license, Kammerer renewal
electrical contracting license, McAlpines' Well Drilling new well drilling li, -Tae, D.G. Girvais
new general contracting license, St. Louis Park Electric new electrical contracting license,
and Anderson Bros. Imp. Company new general contracting license. Motion by Christensen,
seconded by Malvin to approve the above license. Motion ca
Linell Iverson, 1942 Highway 10, appeared befrre the council regardin the placement of
road on his property. Hr. Iverson to see the G1rk or Deputy Clerk for a copy of the sub—
division regulations.
Bob Waste requested a street light at the corner of ^ounty Road H2 and Jackson. Mr. Waste
requested to present a petition for this street light.
Mrs. Alice Frits, Recreation Committee, reported a want ad had been placed in the Bulletin
for help on the skating rinks. The new warming house was being painted. Attorney Meyers to
check into the proposition of a lease rider in regards to the skating bond on the Johnson
property east of Groveland South of County Road I.
Proceedings of the Village Council
Mayor Gibaor read a letter from the St, Psol Board of Realtors. Tabled until further
reference from the council,
Mayor Gibson read a letter from Sheriff Madman to Chief Robertue regarding the enforcement
effort on November 28, Mayor Gibson r the police report for November.
