Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting
of the Village Council of the Village of Mounds View, Minnesota, was
held at the Edgewood School in said Village on Thursday, September 1,
1960, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., with the following members present:
Crane, Smith, Christensen and Malvin
and the following members absent:
Hodges
of hearing called to be held on special assessments proposed to be
levied for special benefit derived from the construction of Waterworks
Improvement No. 1960 -1 and Waterworks Improvement No. 1960 -2. Said
affidavits were examined approved and ordered filed.
The Mayor then announced that the meeting was open for the
purpose of conducting the hearing on said proposed assessments; and
after said assessments were thoroughly explained ai.d after all persons
present were afforded an opportunity to be rieard, the following objections

VillageCouncil of the Village of Mounds View, Minnesota was held at Red
Oak School in said Village. en the 12th day of September, 1960 at 8 :02 p.m.
with the following members presents Crane, Christensen, Hodges and Malvin
and the following members absents Smith
Member Crane introduced the following resolution and moved ite

A RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT FOR WATER MAIN
IMPROVEMENT NO. 1960 -1.
WHEREAS. pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law,
the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed
assessment for +Dater Main Improvement 1960 -1.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW, MINNESOTA:
1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto
and made a part hereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special
assessment against the lands named therein, and each tract of land therein
included is hereby found to be benefited by the proposed improvement in the
amount of the assessment levied against it.
2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments
extending over a period of fifteen years, the first of the installments to be
payable on or after the first Monday in January. 1961 and shall beer interest
at the rate of 6 per cent per annum from the date of the adoption of this
assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest on
the entire assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1961.
To each subsequent installment when due shall be added interest for one year
on all unpaid installments.
3. The owner of any property so assessed nay, at any time
to
whole of the assessment on suoh property, with interest aesruod to the data
of payment. to the Village Treasurer, except that no interest shall be
if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this
resolution; and he may, at any time thereafter, pay to the county treasurer
the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued
to Deoamber 31 of the year in which such payment is made.
4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of
this assessment to the county auditor to be extended on the proper tax lists
of the county, and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the
same manner as other municipal taxes.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Member r:riri r t mean and upon a vote being taken. the
following members voted in favor thereof:
